Students of Community Nursery School and Learning center took a trip up to the Therapeutic Equestrian Center off Route 301 for a day full of crafts, action, and a whole lot of fun in the sun.
The Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Cold Spring has transformed hundreds of lives. It provides people with disabilities and mental illness with a serene environment to heal themselves, with the help of some very special horses. The center has now promoted a longtime volunteer, Cold Spring’s Suzanne Giachinta, to Equine Director. For Giachinta, the healing power of horses has made her passionate about each day, and has given her a new life full of promise and purpose.
The Chamber Foundation’s DERBY PARTY hosted by the Leadership Dutchess Class of 2016 was a great success. The event drew over 200 people, Saturday, May 7th at the Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Cold Spring. As part of the event, guests viewed the big race while enjoying cocktails and southern style hors-d’oeuvres, live entertainment, raffles and a parade of horses overlooking serene views of Cold Spring Mountain.
