Topfield’s policies surrounding temperature and riding is as follows: Topfield does not run riding lessons if it is colder than 30 degrees outside. If the weather is acceptable and does not impede staff/volunteers/riders’ ability to arrive at Topfield, but the temperature is not adequate for riding, Topfield reserves the right to substitute an un-mounted activity in lieu of riding for the lesson/date in question. Whenever possible, Topfield will contact riders ahead of their lesson to notify them whether the lesson will be an un-mounted activity if the temperature dictates. If there is any inclement weather happening on the day of your lesson, Topfield will notify riders if the lesson is cancelled due to weather. Topfield will also post any lesson cancellations on our Facebook page (“Topfield Equestrian Center”). Please provide the best number for Topfield staff to reach you in the event of a weather cancellation. If a lesson is cancelled by Topfield for whatever reason (weather, scheduling issues, horse illnesses, etc.), Topfield will credit you that missed lesson towards a future lesson.
